The Poizoned Pen Premier

Today is October 2, 2011 and the big news today is the series finale of Dr. Who "The Wedding of River Song."

This episode left me completely and utterly happy.

In fact, they could have ended the series on the note and I would have sung the praises of Steven Moffat and the entire staff at BBC for the wonderful accomplishment of a job well done.

Reports today said the episode was the 2nd most watched show yet this year, and no wonder.

I can count on one hand the times that television has challenged my own vivid imagination and won hands down.

The last time that happened was when I saw LORD OF THE RINGS and they were scrambling down the mines of Moria.  I had read the book twenty years earlier and for the first time ever, a movie had compromised even my own imagination.

The second time this happened was when I was reading IMAGICA by the brilliant Clive Barker.  While I worked my way through it, I dreamt in colours that I didn't know even existed.

But today, my blog is a celebration of all things WHOVIAN.

The last five minutes of the show left me in the most eclectic bliss that I could hardly stand myself.

The only thing that has left me wondering, is who in the heck is the guy in the picture that Amy drew, thinking that it was her beloved Rory.  Couldn't quite make it out myself, but the Doctor thought it was as funny as hell.

Also, got a good chuckle out of the "Eye-Drive". Can't help but think it's a swat at the
kingdom of Apple and their I-products.

Love the pun.

And so, that's it for the first post of THE POIZONED PEN.

Do be sure to check back from time to time.
I do love to write when the mood strikes.

Until next time,

Mags
